The biggest obstacle to success is the statement, "I can't", for once it is uttered and accepted, all chance of success is erased.

The Computer Assist web site is built on a web application framework that I've been working on for years now.  It's gone through several versions, and is being used on a number of web sites.  I'm now in the process of "cooking" version 2.20, which has several new features including a full-text site search, several Blog enhancements, improved account registration, and more.  Actually, there's a lot more, but most of the features are not implemented on this site, so I won't go into the details.  If you want to learn more about this framework, be sure to subscribe for notifications of new posts to this blog via the button to the right.  In the coming days/weeks, I will be updating the Computer Assist's sister site with the new version and new information about what's in this version, and I'll announce it here.

The point of this article, however, is the enhanced Blogging system.  These enhancements include Ajax-enabled auto-saving of content while editing, persistence of my logged in session while editing, and even recovery of my logged in session should I go inactive while in the editor.  (The latter can certainly happen if I'm watching 24, Lost, or Battlestar Gallactica while blogging - nothing like dual-tasking!)  The upshot of this is that I can open my Blog and start editing a new article without having to worry about losing content due to a timeout.  And, the upshot of this is that I will be blogging more.  In addition, we also now support user comments, so please feel free to post your own comments about the articles I write.

I'm currently working on an article about .Net and all of the oh-so-cool things that I've come to love about .Net.  I'll also be starting a number of other technical articles about data caching, Ajax, JavaScript image transition effects, and more.

If these topics are of interest to you, please take a moment to register for notifications of new posts by clicking on the "Subscribe" button to the right. Of course, you must be registered and logged in to do this.  If you're not registered, click on the link at the top of the page to register for a site account.  I promise... it's quick and painless.  And don't worry, you won't be spammed and no one else will get your email address from here.  You also won't get overwhelmed with notices of new posts simply because I couldn't possibly publish that many articles that fast as I'm generally focused elsewhere.  It will actually take some extra focus to keep my Blog current - which I will do.
